Sheridan Martin
Qualified Veterinary Nurse
I started working as a veterinary nurse in 1997 while studying Animal care and became a qualified vet nurse in 1999.
Vet nursing is a fulfilling career, that has enabled me to indulge my love for and care for animals. I particularly love caring for our older patients.
I have made good friends while getting to know my patients and their families. I find it to be warming, to be allowed to be apart of a family's support network when their pet is unwell.
My husband and young daughter and I, enjoy catching up with family and friends on the weekends and love to go four-wheel driving and camping when we get a chance.
We currently have two dogs, Winnie (a maltese x shitzu) and Zowee (a samoyed x border collie); two cats, Mia and Snowflake and a magpie named Piggy. All except one came into work as strays and are now very much part of our family.
Sarah hacker
Qualified Veterinary Nurse
I completed Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2008, and currently work part-time as a vet nurse. I love cats in particular and have my own cat Cindy who is very spoilt!
An aspect of vet nursing I enjoy is learning about animal health, and then passing this information onto pet owners so they can improve the lives of their pets. I'm also passionate about trying to reduce the number of unwanted cats and dogs left in animal shelters.
Outside of vet nursing I enjoy traveling - I love visiting as many different places as possible.
Dr Skye Badger
Veterinarian
Skye joined the South Street Vet team in March 2010. She worked in both mixed practice and small animal practice in Donnybrook, Bunbury and now here since graduating in 2006.
Skye has two fabulous babies - Oliver and Beatrix who take care of her entertainment when she is not working. Skye has two very naughty, but elderly Dalmations Winnie and Esmerelda who cut fine figures down at South Fremantle dog beach most days - tearing off into the dunes, never coming back, eating everything in sight and generally causing havoc!
Emily Fielding
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
I have just started a traineeship to complete my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
I have always been surrounded by animals growing up on a farm in Tasmania. At the moment I have a handsome Maltese x Shitzu called Digga.
I have always wanted to work with animals and I would love to work in animal welfare and be the voice for those that need it.
Every day is different and challenging at South St Vet and the staff are fantastic and very supportive.
